The 10-yard roll-off is our most compact and heavy-duty container. It's the perfect solution for dense materials like concrete, dirt, and roofing shingles, or for smaller residential cleanups where driveway space is limited.

What Fits in a 10-Yard Dumpster?

A 10-yard dumpster holds 10 cubic yards of waste. That's roughly equivalent to 3-4 pickup truck loads of debris. Because of its lower walls (30 inches high), it is incredibly easy to load heavy materials over the side rather than having to walk them through a door.

10-Yard Dumpster FAQs

Everything you need to know about renting our 10-yard roll-off container on Oahu.

How much space do I need for a 10-yard dumpster?

The 10-yard dumpster has a footprint of 16 feet long by 7 feet wide. You will need a driveway or drop-off location that is at least 18 feet long to accommodate the bin comfortably. Additionally, our delivery trucks require at least 12 feet of width and 15 feet of vertical clearance to safely maneuver and lower the dumpster onto your property. Please ensure there are no low-hanging power lines, tree branches, or other obstructions.

Why is the 10-yard the only size allowed for dirt and concrete?

Dirt, concrete, asphalt, and rock are extremely dense and heavy materials. A single cubic yard of concrete can weigh over 4,000 pounds. If you were to fill a 20-yard or 30-yard dumpster with these materials, the total weight would far exceed the safe lifting capacity of our trucks and the legal weight limits for driving on Hawaiian roads. The 10-yard bin limits the volume to ensure the load remains safe and legal to transport. If you have a massive concrete removal project, you may need multiple 10-yard swaps.

Can I put household trash in a 10-yard dumpster?

Yes, you can use the 10-yard dumpster for household debris, such as old furniture, boxes, clothes, and general clutter. For household debris, the rental includes 2 tons of disposal weight. However, please remember that hazardous materials, appliances, tires, and electronics are strictly prohibited. The 10-yard is often the preferred choice for single-room cleanouts or small garage decluttering projects.

How long is the rental period?

Our standard rental period is upto 14 calendar days. This gives you two full weekends to complete your project. If you finish early, simply call us at 808-376-9212, and we can often pick it up ahead of schedule. If you need it longer than 14 days, it will be billed as a whole new bin rental.

Will a 10-yard dumpster damage my driveway?

Our drivers are highly trained to place dumpsters carefully. However, roll-off containers are heavy steel objects, especially when loaded with concrete or dirt. We strongly encourage customers to place plywood or other protective materials on their driveway before delivery to prevent scratching or cracking. Waste Worx is not liable for damages to driveways or sidewalks during the normal course of delivery and pickup.

Can I mix green waste with household trash in a 10-yard bin?

No. Co-mingling of waste types is strictly prohibited. If you rent a dumpster for green waste, it must contain only green waste (no dirt, plastic bags, or household trash). If you mix materials, the load may be rejected by the recycling facility or you may incur severe contamination fees. It is crucial to determine your primary waste type before booking.
